Arnette | Faces From a SeaSide City
Music Composing and Production for the movie
More About the Project
We were hired to create the soundtrack for the fashion film presenting the collaboration between Carnan and Arnette. The piece puts the eyewear center stage in different everyday situations, traveling through multiple locations in Rio de Janeiro with the models wearing the product, always focusing on the aesthetics and mood intended for its use. We started from the visual concept — vintage, artistic, and urban — to build a musical identity that would translate this street attitude without losing sophistication, bringing to the sound the same language of texture, rhythm, and elegance that guides the photography and editing.
The main challenge was to find a soundtrack that would precisely match the film's aesthetic proposal. We opted for a sound direction anchored in hip hop/boombap, with marked swing drums, warm double basses, and textures that refer to analog, bringing a contemporary "vintage" character. We worked on rhythmic layers with a consistent groove and minimalist melodic cutouts to sustain the pulse of the scenes, alternating moments of breath and accent to accompany transitions, cuts, and product details. The timbral palette was designed to enhance the visual language: subtle granulations, discreet collages, and an organic dynamic that gives naturalness and fluidity, without overlapping the images. The mixing preserves space and definition, allowing each appearance of the eyewear to gain prominence at the right timing, while the arrangement evolves with the narrative and maintains cohesion from beginning to end.
The result is a film with elegant and urban energy, with dynamic takes and a deliberately vintage, street, and artistic aesthetic, in which the musical score acts as the common thread of the brands' and product's lifestyle. The reception was very positive, generating relevant buzz on social media — driven by the surprise factor of an unexpected collaboration — and strengthening the connection with the public. This project reaffirms our studio's ability to conceive original and attractive soundtracks that integrate with the image proposal, amplify the impact of the narrative, and contribute to achieving creative and business objectives.
